SHANGHAI - HANGZHOU (L/D)

Arriving Shanghai in the morning, our professional tour guide will meet you in the meeting area and take you to the restaurant for lunch. Afterward we shall tour the Yu Garden - a celebrated Ming Dynasty-era garden, Nan Pu Bridge and the famous Cheng Huang Temple. Then proceed to Hangzhou in the evening.

Day 4

HANGZHOU - WATERTOWN (TONGLI) - SUZHOU (B/L/D)

China's poets have praised Hangzhou as a paradise on the earth. We are going to take a cruise on the famous Xi Hu (West Lake), then visit the majestic Ling Yin Temple (Temple of Inspired Seclusion), which houses an 82-feet Buddha carved from camphor wood. Later our tour bus will go along the beautiful Watertown (Tongli) and proceed to Suzhou.

Day 5

SUZHOU - WUXI (B/L/D)

Suzhou, known as "Venice of the East", is built around the Grand Canal. We shall stop at the Tiger Hill - generally considered the No.1 historical monument in the Wu region. The hill has been the favourite place for poets, writers and painters in various times. The hill is of moderate height but has large number of historical relics. The 1000-year-old leaning pagoda atop is looked upon as the landmark of Suzhou. We shall then proceed to Hanshan Temple. The temple has won great reputation worldwide because of the well-known poems by the Tang poet Zhang Ji a thousand years ago. For the last ten years, the Bell-Tolling Ceremony on New Year's Eve at Hanshan Temple has become a special tour item of sustained popularity. Later in the afternoon our tour will head Northwest and stay overnight in Wuxi.

WUXI - YANGZHOU - NANJING (B/L/D)

After breakfast we are going to the Taihu Lake Scenery Zone. We shall stop at Meiliang Lake area which is a bay of Taihu Lake covering around 124 square miles. It is the best part of the Taihu Lake Scenery Zone with Turtle Head Islet as its main part. After the beautiful Taihu Lake we shall proceed to Yangzhou - a economical and cultural centre of the ancient Southern China. Visit Shou Xi Hu - it got its name during the Qing Dynasty, which it resembled a slender version of Xi Hu (West Lake) of Hangzhou. We shall stay overnight in Nanjing.

Day 7

(SHANGHAI TOUR) NANJING - SHANGHAI (B/L/D) / Day 8 SHANGHAI - U.S.A. (B)

Visit Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Mausoleum in the morning - built with the mountain terrain, this is the tomb of one of the greatest revolutionary forerunner. Then we are going to Confucius Temple and Zhonghua Gate. In the afternoon we shall return to Shanghai, and spend the rest of day in Nanjing Road, the hottest spot for shoppers and entertainment seekers, and the Bund.

8-days tour ends after breakfast on the 8th day; will be transferred to airport for departure.

Day 7

(MT.YELLOW TOUR) NANJING - MT.YELLOW (B/L/D)

Visit Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Mausoleum in the morning - built with the mountain terrain, this is the tomb of one of the greatest revolutionary forerunner.　Then we are going to　Confucius Temple and Zhonghua Gate. Later we shall proceed to Mt. Yellow by train.

MT.YELLOW (B/L/D)

A major international tourist city in south Anhui, Mt. Yellow is noted for its statuesque mountains and rich cultural heritage. In 1990 the UNESCO put Mt. Yellow on its list of "World Natural and Cultural Heritages". The beauty of Mt. Yellow lies in its "four wonders": pine trees with shapely foliage, rocks in a hundred and one images, an ocean of clouds, and hot springs. Going up the mountain by cable-car, see Xihai & Beihai beauty spot, including Shi Xin Peak, Lion Peak, Bright Peak and Pai Yun Pavilion. You will be astonished by the elegant and attractive scenic spot.

Day 9

MT. YELLOW - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)

Enjoy an overwhelming view of sunrise before breakfast. We proceed to the Ancient Street - first built over 700 years ago during the Song Dynasty, the street is flanked by some buildings from this period, but more noticeably by buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. A lot of old shops lining the streets that evoke a bygone era and are selling an interesting mix of antiques and curios including brushes, local teas, ink stones, Mao badges and advertising posters from the 30s. We are returning to Shaghai by air after dinner.

Day 10

SHANGHAI - U.S.A. (B)

Transfer to the International airport after breakfast and finish the wonderful 10 days tour.
