BEIJING (L/D)

Upon arriving Beijing, you will be met by our professional local guide at the Beijing International Airport. Then we shall proceed to the Palace Museum - the Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square - the well-known largest square in the world, the Summer Palace - the largest imperial garden in China, and the Temple of Heaven - where the Ming and Qing emperors conducted the annual ceremony to pray to the Heaven for a good harvest. This evening you will enjoy a Chinese acrobatic show with delicious dinner.

Day 4

BEIJING - URUMQI (B/L/D)

Fly westward to Urumqi, it is the farthest city from the sea in the world! Step on the mystical silk road where East meets West. Visit Xinjiang Museum, then the Hongshan Park and taste the special Roast Lamb for dinner.

Day 5

URUMQI - TURPAN (B/L/D)

Take a view of the Mt. Tianshan and visit the Tianchi (Heavenly Lake). Then drive to Turpan, an oasis amid the desert, and renowned for its grapes and honeydew melons. Here you can enjoy a traditional singing and dancing show in the evening.

Day 6

TURPAN - DUNHUANG (B/L/D)

Visit the very interesting Karez well, an underground irrigation system that carries melted snow from Mt. Tianshan to the fields below. Then the Ancient City of Gaochang, the Ancient City of Jiaohe and the Flaming Mountain. In the evening you will go to Dunhuang via an overnight sleeper train.

DUNHUANG (B/L/D)

Arrive in Dunhuang, one of the most historic destinations along China's Silk Road, also a huge center of Buddhist art. Visit the world famous Mogao Grottoes,designated as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO for its 1600-year accumulated cultural, architectural, and art treasures. There remains 492 cave temples and 45000 square meters of frescos. Then visit the Crescent Moon Spring and sand dunes at Mingsha.

Day 8

DUNHUANG - JIAYUGUAN PASS - LANZHOU (B/L/D)

Jiayuguan, a place that has many renowned places of historic interest and scenic beauty, namely, the Jiayuguan Pass and the other attractions include. First Peacon Tower, Overhanging Great Wall, Heishan rock carvings, brick-painted graves of Wei and Jin periods as well as Qiyi Glacier and other natural scenes. Then we move on to Lanzhou by overnight sleeper train.

Day 9

LANZHOU - XI'AN (B/L/D)

Arrive in Lanzhou, the very important section of the Silk Road. The Yellow River runs through this city. Visit the Wuquan Mountain Park and the #1 Bridge of the Yellow River. Then fly to Xi'an, the ancient capital of 11 dynasties.

Day 10

XI'AN (B/L/D)

Xi'an was the capital of China for 11 dynasties extending over 1000 years. We are going to visit the amazing Terra Cotta Warriors - thousands of life-size clay warriors, horses and chariots which were part of the tomb of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty, dicovered in 1974 by a farmer who was digging a well. Afterward we shall visit the Huaqing Hot Spring. A dumpling feast is arranged for tonight's dinner.

Day 11

XI'AN - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)

Visit the two symbolic buildings of Xian, the Big Wild-Goose Pagoda, and the Ancient walls. Then you will fly to the biggest city in China - Shanghai. Here you can take a walk beside the Bund. Visit the Yuyuan Garden, and the Chenghuang Temple. You may also go shopping on Nanjing Road. Enjoy this wonderful city.
