SHANGHAI - WUXI - NANJING (B/L/D)

After breakfast our tour will go to the Taihu Lake Scenery Zone. We shall stop at Meiliang Lake area which is a bay of Taihu Lake covering around 124 square miles. It is the best part of the Taihu Lake Scenery Zone with Turtle Head Islet as its main part. After the beautiful Taihu Lake we shall proceed to Nanjing and visit the Confucius Temple.

NANJING - MT.YELLOW (B/L/D)

Visit Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Mausoleum in the morning - built with the mountain terrain, this is the tomb of one of the greatest revolutionary forerunner, and the Zhonghua Gate. Later we shall proceed to Mt. Yellow by train. Upon arrival we shall visit the Ancient Street - first built over 700 years ago during the Song Dynasty, the street is flanked by some buildings from this period, but more noticeably by buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. A lot of old shops lining the streets that evoke a bygone era and are selling an interesting mix of antiques and curios including brushes, local teas, ink stones, Mao badges and advertising posters from the 30s.

MT.YELLOW (B/L/D)

A major international tourist city in south Anhui, Mt. Yellow is noted for its statuesque mountains and rich cultural heritage. In 1990 the UNESCO put Mt. Yellow on its list of "World Natural and Cultural Heritages". The beauty of Mt. Yellow lies in its "four wonders": pine trees with shapely foliage, rocks in a hundred and one images, an ocean of clouds, and hot springs. Going up the mountain by cable-car, see Xihai & Beihai beauty spot, including Shi Xin Peak, Lion Peak, Bright Peak and Pai Yun Pavilion. You will be astonished by the elegant and attractive scenic spot.

MT.YELLOW - YAOLIN FAIRYLAND - THOUSAND ISLANDS LAKE (B/L/D)

Enjoy a overwhelming view of sunrise before breakfast, we then go down the hill and proceed to the Yaolin Fairyland - one of "China's 40 best tourist attractions". Yaolin is a limestone cave composed of seven sections which are connected to one another extending for more than half a mile and 17 square miles in area. The cave presents a spectacular scene of stalactites and stalagmites in fascinating shapes. Then our tour will head to Thousand Islands Lake in the evening.

Day 7

THOUSAND ISLANDS LAKE - HANGZHOU (B/L/D)

The Xin'anjiang Reservoir is also known as the Thousand Islands Lake. With a storage capacity of 58 billion cubic feet, the lake covers an area of 357 square miles and is studded with a total of 1,078 islands of varying sizes. After a cruise trip on the lake we shall proceed to the capital city of Zhejiang Province - Hangzhou - by bus.

HANGZHOU - NINGBO - MT.PUTUO (B/L/D)

Our tour bus will head to Ningbo in the morning, then go to Mt. Putuo by boat. Mt. Putuo is said to be the Remotest Part of Heaven, the Farthest Corner of the Sea, the Shangri-La, the Penglai Wonderland and the Buddhist Kingdom on the Sea. It is covered all over with evergreen trees including 1170 huge camphor trees. One of them is found in Puhui nunnery, whose trunk is six meters in circumference, and the tree is over 800 years old. There are also gingkoes, cypresses and pines.

MT.PUTUO - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)

Visit the Nanhai Kwan-Yin Statuary, before returning to Shanghai, and spend the rest of day in Nanjing Road, the hottest spot for shoppers and entertainment seekers, and the Bund.

Day 10

SHANGHAI - U.S.A. (B/L)

After breakfast our tour proceed to the Yu Garden - a celebrated Ming Dynasty-era garden, and the famous Cheng Huang Temple. Then we shall be transferred to the airport, finishing the facinating 10 days China tour.
