    Depart West Coast today aboard a spacious jet for your transpacific journey and cross the International Dateline.

  Day 3 BEIJING (L/D)
    Upon arriving Beijing, you will be met by our professional local guide at the Beijing International Airport. Then we shall proceed to the Palace Museum - the Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square - the well-known largest square in the world, the Summer Palace - the largest imperial garden in China, and the Temple of Heaven - where the Ming and Qing emperors conducted the annual ceremony to pray to the Heaven for a good harvest. This evening you will enjoy a Chinese acrobatic show with delicious dinner.

  Day 4 BEIJING (B/L/D)
    Full day excursion outside of Beijing to the remarkable Great Wall and legendary Ming Tombs - the last resting place of 13 emperors. Tonight's special dinner gives you a real taste of the famous Peking Duck.

  Day 5 BEIJING - XI'AN (B/L/D)
    After breakfast we shall fly to one of China's ancient capital - Xi'an. Upon arrival we visit the Wild Goose Pagoda and ancient city wall. A dumpling feast is arranged for tonight's dinner.

  Day 6 XI'AN - CHONGQING ( B,L,D )
    Xi'an was the capital of China for 11 dynasties extending over 1000 years. We are going to visit the amazing Terra Cotta Warriors - thousands of life-size clay warriors, horses and chariots which were part of the tomb of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty, dicovered in 1974 by a farmer who was digging a well. Afterward we shall visit the Huaqing Hot Spring. Then our tour will proceed to Chongqing and board the Regal China Cruise in the evening.

  Day 7 YANGTZE RIVER (B/L/D)
    Depart Chongqing for an exciting downstream journey exploring the unique Three Gorges on the world's third longest river. The rapid water and great mountains isolated kept a stunning world from the outside. Staying with one of the finest cruise ships on the river, you will appreciate the comfort ambiance when you come back from shore excursions to the primitive land. Your first port of call will be Fengdu, the legendary "Ghost City" - the Ming Hill, to be submerged when the Three Gorges dam is completed, is a land of "hell" - the scaring statues describing the afterlife were sculpted to terrify the illiterate. But you will have fun here. A welcome banquet hosted by the Captain will begin in the evening.
  Day 8 YANGTZE RIVER (B/L/D)
    Entering the first gorge, Qutang Gorge this morning, you will see the high peaks, sheer cliff, and the narrow "gates" of the waterway when the great river still in the upper reaches shaping. Then we come to Wu Gorge, the most beautiful parts of the Three Gorges. Stopping at Badong and transferring to the local boat at Shennong Stream, you will explore ancient plank road remains along the river, mysterious ancient coffins hanging high on the cliff, wild monkeys running under the primitive bushes.
  Day 9 YANGTZE RIVER (B/L/D)
    While the last gorge, Xiling Gorge, comes to an end, you are reaching Yichang, where Gezhouba Dam and the current constructing Three Gorge Dam are. Sightseeing begins in Shashi, the twin city with modern textile industry and 3000-year history offers a lot for tourists - ancient city wall with a moat, museums with "Ten World's Most" exhibits including a female corpse of two thousand years. The cruise will arrive Wuhan on the next morning.
  Day 10 WUHAN (B/L/D)
    Wuhan is described as the "Homeland of White Clouds and Yellow Crane". Visit the Yellow Crane Tower - a famous scenic spot enjoying a high reputation both domestically and abroad which was first built in the 2nd Year of Huang Wu State during the period of more than 1700 years.

  Day 11 WUHAN - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
    We are flying to Shanghai in the morning. Upon arrival we shall tour the Yu Garden - a celebrated Ming Dynasty-era garden, Nan Pu Bridge and the famous Cheng Huang Temple. Also enjoy the fascinating view of the Huangpu River Bund at night.

  Day 12 SHANGHAI - SUZHOU (B/L/D)
    Suzhou, known as "Venice of the East", is built around the Grand Canal. 16-days tour passengers will proceed to Suzhou today and visit Tiger Hill - generally considered the No.1 historical monument in the Wu region. The hill has been the favourite place for poets, writers and painters in various times. The hill is of moderate height but has large number of historical relics. The 1000-year-old leaning pagoda atop is looked upon as the landmark of Suzhou. We shall then proceed to Hanshan Temple. The temple has won great reputation worldwide because of the well-known poems by the Tang poet Zhang Ji a thousand years ago. For the last ten years, the Bell-Tolling Ceremony on New Year's Eve at Hanshan Temple has become a special tour item of sustained popularity.

  Day 13 SUZHOU - GUILIN (B/L/D)
    We take a morning flight to Guilin and explore her fascinating landscape formed by limestones. The scenery of Guilin has been called the finest under heaven. Situated in the Northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin City is South China's shining pearl, with verdant mountains, elegant waters, magnificent crags and fantastic caverns.

  Day 14 GUILIN (B/L/D)
    Cruise down the Li River today, you will be attracted by the fabulous natural scenery of Guilin. Limestone spires rising out of the flat ground, with often perpendicular cliffs and trees sprouting from the cracks to bend skyward - absolutely a marvelous view you can hardly find anywhere else. We also visit the Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill and Folded Brocade Hill on the way back to Guilin downtown. A Guilin traditional dance performance is arranged for your enjoyment tonight.

  Day 15 GUILIN - GUANGZHOU - HONG KONG (B/L)
    After breakfast we are going to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, city tour of the 72 Martyrs Mausoleum at Huanghuagang, Dr. Sun Yet-Sen's Memorial Hall, and the Yue Xiu Park is arranged. Then we take an express train to Hongkong, the rest of the day is free for your own leisure activities. (no dinner included today)
