In the morning we are going to visit the Yu Garden - a celebrated Ming
Dynasty-era garden, Nan Pu Bridge and the famous Cheng Huang Temple. Also enjoy
a fascinating view of the Bund. Then we shall proceed to Mt. Yellow by domestic
flight.

A major international tourist city in south Anhui, Mt. Yellow is noted for its
statuesque mountains and rich cultural heritage. In 1990 the UNESCO put Mt.
Yellow on its list of "World Natural and Cultural Heritages". The beauty of Mt.
Yellow lies in its "four wonders": pine trees with shapely foliage, rocks in a
hundred and one images, an ocean of clouds, and hot springs. Going up the
mountain by cable-car, see Xihai & Beihai beauty spot, including Shi Xin
Peak, Lion Peak, Bright Peak and Pai Yun Pavilion. You will be astonished by the
elegant and attractive scenic spot.

Enjoy a overwhelming view of sunrise before breakfast. We proceed to the Ancient
Street - first built over 700 years ago during the Song Dynasty, the street is
flanked by some buildings from this period, but more noticeably by buildings
from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. A lot of old shops lining the streets that
evoke a bygone era and are selling an interesting mix of antiques and curios
including brushes, local teas, ink stones, Mao badges and advertising posters
from the 30s. Then we shall take another domestic flight to Wuhan.

Wuhan is described as the "Homeland of White Clouds and Yellow Crane". Visit the
Yellow Crane Tower - a famous scenic spot enjoying a high reputation both
domestically and abroad which was first built in the 2nd Year of Huang Wu State
during the period of more than 1700 years ago. Board the Regal China Cruise ship
in the evening.

While you are learning Taiji from a cruise director in the morning, your cruise
ship is sailing through the most fertilized land of Yangtze in the middle
reaches. A banquet will be held by the captain tonight. |

Passing the shiplock at Gezhouba Dam, you enter the fabled Yangtze Three Gorges
this morning. Disembark at the Three Gorges Dam construction site for a close
look at the world's largest hydro project. Then reach Badong for overnight.
Xiling Gorge, the first and longest of the three gorges, is featured with
dramatic shoals, verdant cliffs, temples and landmark rocks. |

Excursion in a small boat exploring the Shennong Stream: ancient plank road
remains along the river, mysterious ancient Ba people's coffins suspended high
on the cliff, wild monkeys running under the primitive bushes and trees.
Continue to the 2nd gorge, Wu Gorge. The weathered twelve peaks of Goddess
shapes a deep zigzagging valley and forested mountains. |

Qutang Gorge. Sailing through the 5,000 ft high, 300 ft wide passage and the
breath-taking gorges onto Wanxian. A shore excursion includes visits to the
museum with a suspended coffin on display, silk factory, and open market selling
everything fresh - an insight into the local daily life. We shall be arriving
Chongqing in the morning. |

Day 11 |
CHONGQING - SHANGHAI (B/L/D) |

Chongqing was originally the capital of the State of Ba over three thousand
years. The place was called Jiangzhou during the Western Han Dynasty. Later on,
it was changed into Yuzhou during the Sui, Tang, Wudai and Northern Song
Dynasties. We shall arrive Chongqing in the afternoon and visit her landmark -
the Great Hall of the People. The whole building displays excellent craft,
harmonious use of color and marvelous design. Later on we are flying back to
Shanghai.
