Take a bus ride to visit the beautiful city of Chengde , 140 miles of Beijing . Chengde is mostly known for its imperial resorts. The Chengde Summer Palace is where the emperors handled state affairs and presided over banquets. Return to Beijing . (B.L.D)

Today you will ride the High Speed Railway, the fastest train in the world to travel to Tianjin , 90 miles of Beijing . Tour the old city, city of foreign concessions in the past and then visit Tranquil Garden founded in 1921, formerly known as dry garden. In 1925, Pu Yi ,the last emperor of China stayed here with Empress Wan Rong-kai. Continue your visit to the East Tombs, the largest and most complete complex of imperial tombs in China . Of these, the Yuling mausoleum of Emperor Qian Long and Dingling mausoleum of Emperor Dowager Cixi are the most magnificent. Return to Beijing . Tonight's special dinner will give you a real taste of the Peking Duck. (B.L.D)

Begin your city tour with a visit to the Palace Museum , more commonly known as the Forbidden City . This complex, the largest imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with over 9,000 rooms, resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. Later you will catch a glimpse of National Stadium (also known as the bird's nest ). This is the site for hosting the 2008 Olympic Opening and Closing ceremonies. Free afternoon to explore on your own or take our optional tour. (B.L)
